The Inge Perkins Scholarship was established to celebrate the life and inspiration of Inge by providing financial assistance to a young female rock climber living in the greater Gallatin Valley.
The Inge Perkins Scholarship seeks to provide an aspiring, young female climber with opportunities to gain confidence through the physical, mental, and emotional growth that climbing nurtures. The goal is to develop not just stronger climbers, but community-minded volunteers and future mentors to inspire others.
Through gifts of financial support, the spirit of Inge will live on in another’s quest to explore her potential in both climbing and the greater possibilities of life.
Awarded annually, the Inge Perkins' Scholarship will help fund a young athlete's pursuit of becoming a more well-rounded climber, as well as an actively engaged community contributor. Recipients will exhibit positive role model attributes, in addition to achieving solid academic performance. The scholarship covers a full season of Spire membership as well as Bozeman Climbing Team dues. Additionally, competition fees (including travel & accommodations) will be reimbursed. There will also be opportunities to climb outside with the Montana Mountaineering Association.
